I had errands on Saturday - food and a trip to Hyannis for various items.
Leaving Chatham the skies were grey the air raw the winds strong. Five miles out of town blue appeared in the skies and I decided to take the walk to the bike bridge over Bass River. Wicked windy and cold but well worth it. Was a 15 minute brisk walk to get there so it eats up a good half hour.
Then from there to Hyannis,check the ,mall construction- what a mess . Hardly anyone in the parking lots, wondering how the places are staying in business. No CVS, Not Your Average Joes etc.
Stop at Whole Foods found out why they had no dried apricots last trip. They did a repackaging thing. Fine. Then to Shaw's for food and picked up a tomatillo. Never had one before. Supposedly an Aquarian Spring vegetable. We will see.
On the way back stopped at Lemon Tree Village
Then detoured to the herring run
Kind of romantic the birds- though I do not have a romantic bone in my body LOL

My brother returned from Key West the other day and I saw him today to speak to- he got me something. After seeing me post on facebook about a problem dog on one of my walks. he got me an alarm. It produces a loud shrill noise to frighten coyotes and dogs. We weren't sure about people LOL. In any case I was wondering if it was for my protection or to let people know I was close by. beware.
