2023: HAIR & SCALP DETOX

 my scalp detox

Younghee’s at home Method
You can (sort of recreate her spa treatment at home). Massage a generous amount of oil (Younghee likes this one) all over and into your scalp. Leave it on for two hours (!!!) and shampoo using a clarifying shampoo. From there, shampoo again and do a vinegar rinse with apple cider vinegar (mix 2-4 tbsp vinegar with 16 oz. warm water in a plastic squeeze bottle). For extra credit you could add a few drops of tea tree oil to the ACV mixture. Be sure to use the rinse all over the hair, from scalp to ends. Besides the clarifying benefits for your scalp, a vinegar rinse also helps make your hair look extra shiny. Leave the vinegar mixture on for a few minutes, and then rinse with cold water. Condition the ends, and style appropriately.

what I did
massage scalp.Applied vo 5 hot oil to hair and scalp had only a half a tube so hauled out the  Aussie Miracle Moist and massaged that in- dishes took me almost an hour that stuff is cold LOL.Rinse in shower  and that took forever.Baking soda and Head & Shoulders. rinse well . pour apple cider vinegar  and water over hair. massage and shampoo with Garnier Pure Clean and it started to foam waited for a mushroom cloud that did not happen. Finally able to shower the rest of me. I was exhausted. Scalp still feels bumpy ( always been bumpy) but hair is super soft.

So in other words - don't bother ha ha ha. Had to try it though.

eek noticed in one of these photos that my hair is thin at the top! LOL
Gradual thinning on top of head.
This is the most common type of hair loss, affecting people as they age. In men, hair often begins to recede at the hairline on the forehead. Women typically have a broadening of the part in their hair.

I suck at selfies

2023: ANOTHER WEIRD ONE

 hand wash

cookies

iron

vacuum

I made the above list for Monday April 3rd

I had vowed earlier to not make anymore lists . This didn't even make it to the "Shit to do" list. Which reminds me I need to update

So first thing was to do a hand wash so I do not have so much laundry on laundromat day. Weather is improving and things dry in a day or more not a whole week. So I also had 2 wool sweaters to wash and  at least 5 wool hand made hats. That out on the rack. It was cold but not as freaking windy as Sunday or Saturday.

So finally got to make my cookies. If I could find ones store bought that I liked that had no eggs or nuts in them I would eat those. But I had to wait for 3 ingredients to be available. Baking powder, wheat germ and flax seed meal. Of course I chose a busy day to do this. It was not without comic relief. The pull tab on the baking powder failed among other things.

my hand slipped with the pot holder and wow that cookie sheet is hot. It reminded me of when I baby sat for a family in Cincinnati and their maid. She did all the cooking and baking. The palms of her hands were so calloused from years of baking- she never used a pot holder!

My cookies turned out delicious.

recipe

1/2 cup smart balance vegetable spread

1 small container apple sauce unsweetened

heaping 1/2 cup molasses

1 cup raisins soaked in boiling water

1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla< this item I forget to memory but used in cookies.

let's see if I know it by heart

1 cup whole wheat flour

1/2 cup flax seed meal

1/2 cup wheat germ

1 cup oats

3/4 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon cinnamon

**

so after all the frustrations and cleaning up all those pans bowls and dishes I rewarded myself with a different twist to my supper.

supper

peeled tomato and sea salt

sauteed apple

yellow squash boiled and olive oil and apple cider vinegar plus Dash

broccoli and cut green beans grape nuts onion garlic and smart balance and squirt of catsup.

It was delightful. and I had the usual round breads soaking in the broth the vegetables were cooked in,
