HIKES-Massachusetts Audubon-Barnstable Great Marsh

Met up with a friend to walk this hike today. Not well marked. We both drive by it at least 3 times. It is supposed to be across from the school on 6A. So I drove in there and set my Tom Tom GPS to 2444 Main street and drove on. As soon as I got back out onto 6A it said " you have reached your destination" LOL. Tiny sign by what looked like an old paved driveway. Ventured in and there was Mary waiting. They "promised" birds, otters, foxes etc. We saw nothing, we heard faint bird calls. The trails are poorly marked. I am totally amazed we did not get lost. What saved us was man made bridges and stone walls  and benches dedicated to someone every once in a while. Underfoot it was muddy icy slippery snowy- you name it. But it was a lovely walk for an hour and good exercise. Beware I am going to post all the photos. :)

 saw no otters

video of the trickling stream under once bridge of this is the other bridge- whatever! LOL

trickling stream short and shaky

I saw a square piece of wood with either n 01 on it or 10N and turnred it over to see what was on the other side. nothing. On the way back I flipped it back.

To Parking sign- yay we are not lost LOL
