HIKES- George Ryder Forest

Conservation land off of George Ryder road. You can see Barclay and Mary's Ponds  but the paths to get there are steep. No thank you. Nice little walk on soft pine needle path. As I head back to the truck I see some souvenirs - broken mirror pieces. :)

BEACHES-Claflin Landing

Wanting to see some water and had not been down here in decades. First thing out of the truck- I see tiny foot prints.

HIKES-Mary's Pond

Went back on the 14th of March no matter which direction you walk the result is a deep valley that would be hard to navigate to get to a water view. So I can cross this one off my list!
a plaque for a  Copper Beech tree  for former selectman Bob McNeece and his wife Marion- it is not thriving.

Chatham Conservation area near Medicine Bow. I did not get to Mary's pond. But checked out the area enough to want to go back.

Hope I remember to add to this.

Going through gravestone photos ran across a photo of what I think is Mary's Pond from the South Side of Chatham Ancient Cemetery
