November 4 2025

I do puzzles every day and try to hone my problem solving skill at every opportunity. Not easy  with so much turmoil in the world. But I TRY. This morning beautiful bright horizon predawn. Got out there to feed birds. Forced myself to walk to the mailbox. On my way I noticed the truck was missing a tread! Mystery solved. One had blown into my area below a few days ago. I pushed it aside with my cane. So picked it up this morning and placed it on the truck seat.. Maybe 5 years ago I would have struggled and tried to reattacch it myself. BUT I have learned too many hard lessons for 2 years straight- Know my limits. Very tedious to constantly being in recovery mode with this body.

Carbon monoxide leak ,plumbers shut down boiler and furnace. after all that they showed up today to put the cap om gas stack that has been missing for 5 years at the welders. Dead bit=rds inside caused the leak

Flying saucer or crsscent moon you decide.

Been up since 3:30am -hauled racks out on deck for drying again.  Made split pea soup, 3 days of Dutch  potatoes, 2 days of basmati brown rice. Fed birds. working on breakfast and in dire need of hot black coffee.

November 14 

so I have a note for my food delivery lately to bring it upstairs on to the deck and please do not block my door. Still recovering from fall back in June of 2024 and also seem to be in the habit of reinjuring myself in same spots or coming up with new ways to hobble -like injure hip using the fucking cane. go figure.Or taking the bus. So today where does the food get delivered? I got a text saying it was delivered but it was not on the deck or below on the 2 chairs like they did for months. I thankfully could check the email they send saying  "Your food has been delivered" and a photo is attached. Here it was delivered below on a step blocking a door. So I ended up doing stairs 5 times. Exercise is good right? my photo not theirs

Pipe leak shows in ceiling in bay. what was thought to be the drain pipe broken in my shower was a proken leaky pipe. Fixed now. but another busy Monday trying to clean apartment. I was talking to a friend on the phone while plumber was here and HE had broken pipes under his condo.

then a wheeled contraption showed up below. apparently a landscaping device. why there though ho hum.

I bought Lysol Laundry Sanitizer a few years ago. I finished the bottle and said never again. I switched to Clorox sanitizer because: bottle had a handle, it was easier to use. The cap closed securely. It had clear instructions on the bottle. Just to mention a few of the reasons. Well recently I ran out of Clorox and had to get Lysol. Still the issues with hard to hold , no instructions-I had to call an 800 number. And the lid is difficult to secure properly so it does NOT leak. I have my laundry done and have to write out instructions. I no longer drive. Please improve your bottle make it easier to grasp and make the inside of the lid easier to read.Thank you.

This rant will be long so grab a beer or a mug of something hot and sit down.

I guess doing my daily puzzles each day and constantly being challenged by consumers goods and services will keep my brain functioning. There is plenty of material to choose from. Laundry day tomorrow and I had to write up another list. name phone number  and wash/dry/deliver instructions.I started using Lysol Laundry sanitizer in 2020. Then found the bottle ungainly and cap leaked and bottle had no handle. So switched to Clorox laundry sanitiizer. Ran out a while ago and Clorox one was out of stock. Crap ended up with the Lysol brand again. AND NOTHING HAS CHANGED. Still bottle no handle and lid leaks unless I use an air wrench to  tighten it . And since it had been 5 years I forgot the measurements etc. Bottle has a label on the back that says peel here. Peeled it and nothing on reverse nothing witten on bottle. So had to call 800 number. They needed the barcode number.  Finally get her to tell me the ribbed lines marked 2 inside lid are for HE machines. Later I asked what size load and she says "medium" . How convoluted can we get? So fine I can proceed with the handwritten list. Then I contacted Lysol on their page. Hope it burns holes in their WiFi connection.

Purchase amount. I would have to look back on email with that listed and seriously that is very inconvenient for me. I am not asking for money back- pretty sure it was close to 10 dollars.just fix the issues I mentioned. Lack of a handle, lid horrendous to open and then secure. Lack of instruction on the bottle. etc.

my name is Cynthia Moore and that is in my email address. I have no intention of giving you my mailing address. Like I said I am not asking for money back. I will use what I have . Each time I send it to the laundromat ( I not longer drive and cannot lift so have to pay to have laundry done in a public laundromat) I transfer amount needed into a Meyer's bottle that at one time had lavender fabric softener in it. THAT has a handle and a lid/cap  that is secure. It would also help if you said the ounces needed and not have to see inside the lid and look for ribbed stripes. Lids get broken. OUNCES would help.

 I hope it is true we can now buy lottery online. I am so tired of the tedious walk from here to South Chatham Liquors. One hour of almost falling on the uneven rough surfaces. Except for a short stretch on the bike path. Today was spilled fine gravel (slippery) and a rope strewn by the side of the road. I moved the rope using my cane with traffic whizzing by. I used to love to walk anywhere aimlessly.

September 25 2025

went below to feed birds and noticed a package near the stairs in a clear plastic bag- looks like UPS. I have not ordered anything. It is  faiyl heavy and knocks around when I shake it. It smells musty.Googled the company and it is incense LOL I ordered FREE incense samples over a year ago. I will open it after breakfast LOL

Wellk got back from lottery walk and opened it. lots of receipts and literature and notes etc. saw "Paula" and sure enough

Glad I had not placed my amazon order yet  as incense was on the list and in no way would I have treated myself so well. The cat burner is perfect for my punk style long stick incense.

2025: AUGUST

I had one that turned on by pulling the key chain and turned off by pushing it in. This one would not stop! Horrible noise. Wrapped it in a thermal hoodie until I could get outside and smash it with a brick. That didn't work so ended up drowning it in a jug of sudsy water.

August 7

Finally weather was cool enough to walk to the post office. Handicap access was cleaned up- not well but what is to be expected. Saw the postal worker as I was taking a photo of their broken door. She told me a crew was there on Wednesday. When she contacted the landlady about the door the landlady says she is not going to replace it. So they will likely replace it and send her a bill. For a postal building it is NOT handicap friendly. People offer to help me. And that is appreciated BUT automatic doors would be nice or at least ones that opened with a "shove" of the butt

The walk back I took note of the road conditions- the State need to get on the stick for rt 28 & 137. Street gutters and drains are clogged with debris.

walk to and back took from 8:37am until almost 10 am. Likely would be less time if I did not have to do the rollator over tree roots on the short cut.

August 16 2025

Beautiful day out there.

ISO smooth flat surface. Left for my walk to lottery  8:35am. Using rollator  went the paved way. Had to turn around and come back here because it was too bumpy for my body. So headed for the short cut and lottery using just a cane bur needed my shoulder bag for cough drops, camera, cellphone money lottery slip etc. Took the same amount of time amazingly but not that bumpy torture of the rollator. My first attempt I noticed they patched the road near the puddle that is gone . Then on the trip to lottery saw gum  tin that contains nicotine. AND saw that the State patched and cleaned up 2 gutters (that I noticed) and looks like the post office door was fixed.YAY. Sidewalks are still sandy and slippery. baby steps I guess.

I woke this morning while dreaming of cleaning a toilet where someone had flushed a litter pan full into the toilet. What was left was a standing cat turd cemented to the bowl with clumping litter.

Well looks like my free stuff went untouched. But I will not be discouraged that was just one day. This morning doing 7 rounds I hauled out another milk crate and filled it up and stood bags around the crates. scratched out books on the signs and made another Free sign. What a relief that clears my inside stairway of clutter. It has all been sitting there since June of 2024 when I was getting rid of stuff like all us old people do LOL  Books, crafts, DVDs, kitchen gadgets and cookies sheets rolling pin etc. Then I fell and have not driven or been anywhere since then. Anything not gone on Sunday afternoon will go in Monday's trash. If that is too much for me I will do a bag a week. After all by then it is all trash. It pains me to throw away books but...

Random thoughts as August fades

Sweaty palms. I drove off Cape for the first time with my Saturn back in 2003. I took the Mid Cape- which after that one time I never did again as people drove too fast. Got where I was going and turned around to come back to the Cape. Approaching the Sagamore bridge I noticed my pams were sweating so profusely I could not hold onto the steering wheel. ( wore driving gloves from that point on) On the Cape I happened to look at the Speedometer and  going down hill I was going 90 MPH. Holy shit. took my foot off the pedal and thank goodness I was approaching that steep hill and slowed down to 55 pretty quickly.

Those French Salt Crystal deodorants are the best thing for sweaty palms.

My favorite wtxh was a red one encased in clear ( of course) plastic. It was to be worn around my neck. After a few jogs at night it fogged up and never ran again. It was so pretty. My grandmother Grace Moore was given a clock for christening the US Regent ship. I had it after she died in 1959. It ran perfectly until the day JFK was shot. Stopped never to run again. It was in my barrister's chest with other special things. Picked it up on day and it started run ning again. That was 2009. stooped again I guess forever. Way off the subject with this- my favorite song that Ma Chrystie played on the piano was Grandfather's Clock

Most songs are 60s 70s 80s and newer pop music from Eminem, Rob Thomas, 50 cent etc. but saw a short for a duet of Karen Carpenter and Ella Fitzgerald I think. Not an earworm but the Karen C one is- Masquerade. I usually do not do sappy- made this an exception.

2025: JULY

 well between the stench of smoked fish processing all night and this morning  there was no feed birds and no walk. Facebook glitch threw me off my word games. So  went to fix an early second mug of black coffee and saw this gem below. Took a chance that the fish stench was gone and took a photo. Smell gone but now I have no  desire to feed birds or walk my rounds. Maybe later after an early nap LOL Went out again for crisper photo (batteries died) Could have jockeyed for a better angle but am scantily clad and NOT getting dressed.

There was a yellow bike below earlier. I thought it was a crotch rocket ( my favorites). I stood at the window hoping to see it ride off. Not a chance, I was fixing my supper when it pulled away. Not a crotcch rocket either - too heavy of a sound.But it was yellow- that's a plus.If anyone can id the bike that would be miraculous through a "screen" LOL

Lots of eye candy today- slick car , black with red features on it, is back. woo hoo.

July 6

I have not been in a vehicle since end of June 2024. As far as I have explored on foot/rollator is to the South Chatham Post Office. This morning while on my walk in the parking lot I looked up from watching where i was going and saw this! Had to check it out

I used to document gravestones. Learned from that to always check the back & sides  of whatever I was taking photos of. Was rewarded this morning for that habit. An old Corvette was hiding beside the Cape Life bus
