Assistance from group on facebook: Criminal Genealogy
In 1930 my cousin Verdie was in Ohio Reformatory for Women for killing her 4th husband. I have the census listing her there and there are 7 census pages of inmates!. Got me curious who was the oldest and who was the youngest.
Turns out Mary Keeler 67 was the oldest in 1930 a convicted abortionist. Mary was born in West Virginia and was married at age 19
and Helen Coss the youngest at 16 still unsure of her crime but here are the news items for both. Helen was married at age 14.
