 Linus first then the hikes.

 

We did Point of Rocks Beach, Corporation Beach, Scargo Tower, back roads getting back to Chatham and Monomoy Wild Life Refuge and Quitnesset beach and Chatham Light.

Point of Rocks- a tricky parking ordeal but we got in and out! Remembering where the turn was was tricky. Fence in a white rock

light seemed to get low before 2pm!

wondered if these were shark eggs. This morning I remembered they are skate eggs. Looked it up to verify

on the way to Corporation beach there was storm debris sticking out in the road and I brushed by it with the truck. Immediately thought I had hit someone. Momentary mental conflict LOL Do I stop?

now back to the beauty of Corporation Beach. Sign at the parking lot said no parking they are painting lines. I saw no workers and did not smell paint. We parked. Restrooms were closed though.

Then onto Scargo Hill and Tower. Finally open again. Saw a motorcycle and the guy up top. Chatted him up a bit then we climbed. My gloves were back on the stairs here.The one thing I needed climbing for those cold rails!

Then to head back to Chatham to pee and do the wildlife center etc. Took back roads. While at Scargo I could not remember "the herring run" LOL. one of the driveby color pix is that. First time in 2 years that parking lot has been empty!

squirt my vest for old time's sake with the pump soap in the rest rooms.

wow the changes since I was last up here. phew.

oh forgot on the backroads way back got pix of the old house on Newcomb. Always has fascinated me. tiny windows.

Monomoy wildlife

no comments- what can you say about Mother Nature doing her thing. other than the restrooms were a bit strange looking. But I wonder if it is constructed from recycled plastic or something.

Then to Quitnesset. On the way to wildlife there were cars parked on the dike. I figured they were people walking to see the cliff. Turns out nope. Those people were fishing across the street. There were other foot prints where we walked and we got lost on the way back. ha ha.  All those signs. geez.

then on to the grande finale- Chatham Light. the moon was peeking out from behind a dark purple cloud occasionally.
