I had a list for photo taking while I was in Hyannis and forgot it! So took photos of the zinkers in Oak Grove cemetery. Got a good hour walk in at least. See if I can remember to add to this post from other cemeteries.
Nothing says Spring on Cape Cod like big tree bare of leaves and a big blue sky!
Oak Grove Cemetery in Hyannis- great lighting for capturing the zinkers in there. They discontinued the manufacture when war broke out in Europe in the early 1900s. They needed the metal, white bronze for the war effort. Over the years they were also used as hiding places for illegal liquor and then starting in the 1960s and on for hiding drugs.
