On facebook I have been posting a different photo each day along with the countdown of how long I have been distancing-washing hands and wearing a mask. One friend suggested we all post photos of our parents dating. He had posted his parents when they were in the military and in Washington DC- he travels a lot and has many wonderful pix. I said sure if my scanner would cooperate
I was not about to delve into my father's life. I have an album of photos of Mom from birth forward. I chose a few and when looking through the pix saw one that was obviously taken in a cemetery. Not until I scanned it and zoomed in could I tell it was Jack's grave in 1974
This is Mom with Bill Ford in 1940 she was 17. he lived with his sister in Maryland and would commute to Drexel Hill They are in Valley Forge. After they stopped dating she heard he stole a car and was in jail.
He was a sharp dresser. We often wondered what happened to him could never find even a clue.
This is Mom in a canoe with my father taking the photo. She noted on the back that she made the dress and her father bought the material it was strawberries. She told me she could see his balls and felt it was on purpose.
Then this is Jack & Mom- she always said he was the love of her life. He drank to excess and treated her poorly. He had quick the life before he married Mom.Been trying to find out who his father was. His first wife died as the result of an auto accident so that anniversary was rough always.
This is them and then his grave in Highland Cemetery in Dover Massachusetts
